I seriously cannot believe how damn quickly the last week has gone! It's already Sunday evening and that's just a little bit ridiculous. I've not even had that much of a busy week, but it's been lovely. General collegy things, approaching deadlines, meeting with friends for coffee etc etc. Lovely lovely lovely.
Four Favourite Memories:
1. Coffee dates with a lovely friend. I have a friend who is rather sick, but getting better, and so we met for coffee on Wednesday and did a lovely bit of shopping, and I got a wonderful 'Talk Disney To Me' tshirt from Primark. I didn't even venture into Boots!
2. Swimming with more wonderful friends. I stayed around a friends house Friday night, and we went swimming on Saturday. I haven't been swimming in years, but I really enjoyed it. I got a beautiful 1950's style bikini from Debenhams, which did cost £45 (eek!), but it's beautiful and fitted like a dream.
3. Wood exploration with the family. We went for a lovely long walk through the woods today, got lost as per usual, and found a track covered in stones and tree roots and I fell over about 50 million times!
4. Yoga class with my mother. I always forget how much I love going to yoga until I go to yoga. I go to a class that a local woman runs with my mum, and there's only about five of us and we have a giggle and it's so good for clearing the mind.
Three Weekly Loves:
1. Pretty Little Liars. I have gotten so into watching PLL, although I am only on the third series!
2. Lush bubble bars. This week I've been using The Comforter, which is probably my all time favourite Lush bubble bar, and Mother Superior, which has made me all silky smooth and smell delightful
3. Benefit's Roller Lash mascara. We're pretty tight, me and the Roller Lash, and I definitely can't see this relationship coming to an end any time soon.
Two Book Recommendations:
1. Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks. I've just started reading it again, and I will never, ever not recommend this book. A historical novel set in WWI, Birdsong tells the story of Stephen Wraysford who starts off by visiting France to learn more about the textile trade and ends up fighting in the war, intertwined with the story of Jack Firebrace who is an ex-miner and ends up building the mines underneath the trenches to blow up the German's from underneath. It's a beautiful, heart wrenching read. Faulks' writing and description, especially during the parts to do directly with the war themselves, are so vivid and brilliantly written and I just adore this book so much.
2. The Maze Runner by James Dashner. The first in a dystopian series that dare I say it, I actually prefer to the Hunger Games. Dashner's writing is so vivid and gruesome at times, that the events seem really real and the whole plot is so gripping that you can never really tell what is going to happen to Thomas, Newt, Teresa, Minho, Alby and the rest of the Gladers. A cracking read.

It hurts to spend that much on a bikini, but it's so worth it for one you like! PLL is pretty incredible, I definitely recommend watching it :) beth x
